Joanie HF Zosike, 2019 Writer’s Hotel Sara Patton poetry stipend recipient and August 2020 Featured Poet in The New Guard’s BANG!, was recently published in Maintenant 15 from Three Rooms Press and Light on the Walls of Life, a tribute anthology to LAWRENCE FERLINGHETTI (Jambu Press). Interviews with Judith Malina and Robbie McCauley are included in Women in the American Theatre. Her poetry is featured in 11/9: The Fall of American Democracy. Chapbooks include “Character Poems” and “Bliss, Not Weight,” (anthologized in Ides, Silver Birch Press, 2015). Other publications include Alien Buddha, Heresies, Home Planet News, Jewish Forward, Levure Literraire, Public Illumination Magazine and Syndic. Author of eight full-length plays and four solo theatre works, she received an Albee fellowship for “Inside” and a Foundation for Jewish Culture grant for “…and Then the Heavens Closed.” Joanie works with The Living Theatre since 1989, directs/acts with DADAnewyork, and co-directs Action Racket Theatre.
